Ever since his exit from Olamide’s YBNL, indigenous rapper, Lil Kesh has suffered a slow but steady decline in his music career and it’s now at a point where it’s like he has completely gone into musical oblivion. But there could be hope.
Lil Kesh is no doubt talented. But it takes more than talent to be relevant, though it plays a huge role in making one stay relevant. Lil Kesh fast gained musical momentum after he joined Olamide’s YBNL on being introduced to the YBNL boss by fellow singer, Viktor. He even benched victor by becoming bigger, more famous, and richer than Viktor.
However, two years later he formed his own Y.A.G.I label and hoped to skyrocket his career on the wings of that label. But things did not quite turn out as he had envisioned, as his musical decline began immediately he left YBNL. Apart from his collaboration with Chinko Ekun and Zlatan on Able God, his current oblivion would have been more worrying.
Right now, artists who came after him including Naira Marley and Zlatan have raced past his achievements. They’ve become the music idols among his audience. The big question now is; would his career revive if he returns to YBNL???
